Peter D’Ascoli is a New York-born textile and fashion designer, creative director and author, known for his deep engagement with traditional crafts, especially in India, where he has lived and worked for decades. Having studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan, his formal training in textile design laid the foundation for a lifelong love of craft and led to his early encounters with the art and culture of India. In 2006, D’Ascoli established the Talianna Studio, a vertical design atelier featuring hand embroidery, block and digital printing, and stitching. His design practice is rooted in a fusion of global decorative arts and sustainable, artisanal production.
