Humberto Campana founded Estudio Campana in 1983 along with his brother Fernando. As he grew up under Brazil’s military reign he decided to become a lawyer to attain freedom from the system and change the world. But deep down inside he always wanted to be an artist, having realised this he joined forces with his brother and started their very own design practice. Their work is known for giving a new life to mundane and ordinary materials along with infusing Brazilian characteristics in all their work. They have been honoured with the Designer Of The Year award at Design Miami in 2008 and have also won the Designers Of The Year at Maison and Objet award in 2012
