Eames Demetrios is Director of the Eames Office and, with his siblings, takes care of the legacy of their grandparents, Charles and Ray Eames. He has a particular focus on the Eames ideas and authentic making of their furniture. Author of 11 books, five on the Eameses—including An Eames Primer and Essential Eames: Words and Images, he has contributed to about a dozen more. An experienced filmmaker, Demetrios’ current large-scale artwork, Kcymaerxthaere, is his parallel universe and a global storytelling platform. He has also given talks in over 50 countries, including on the TED main stage.
