Satyajeet Patwardhan is the co-founder of amoeba design, which is based in Pune, Maharashtra. After completing his bachelor’s degree in architecture from Nasik, Patwardhan went on to obtain his M.Arch. in Sustainable Design from the University of Texas at Austin, USA. He worked with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP in New York before moving back to India in 2010 and co-founding Amoeba Designs with his partner, Pashmin Shah. His practise depicts a conversation between tradition and innovation, craftsmanship and design, and their fusion to form contemporary design. Amoeba Designs is inspired by the concept of Wabi-Sabi, an intuitive way of living that encourages the team to celebrate the beauty of a naturally imperfect world and aims to manifest this approach in all their projects. Patwardhan focuses on creating ecological, culturally specific, and contemporary built environments.
