Nguyên Đúc Trung is a partner and co-founder of ODDO Architects, an architectural firm, based both in Vietnam and The Czech Republic. Nguyên has produced numerous creative and avant-garde designs during the course of his career. ODDO, the multi-disciplinary firm has won the Dezeen Award for the best new architecture studio of 2021. Nguyen has worked on a variety of projects in Vietnam and overseas. Before founding ODDO Architects, Nguyên worked with renowned Vo Trong Nghia Architects. His work is wide – ranging, from residential and commercial projects, to large-scale exhibitions such as the Venice Biennale. His work at ODDO Architects focuses on preserving the local culture and traditions, rebuilding the urbanized living environment, and reinforcing cultural contexts in projects. The firm aspires to revive humanity’s long-forgotten connection to environment through architecture and urbanism.
