Director of Udaipur-based ASTANA Dom Jean Lavabre Design Studio, he spent eight years developing the 9HOTEL chain in Paris, Brussels, Lisbon, Madrid, Dublin, and Amsterdam. A company development lawyer with the additional responsibility of hotel operations and the artistic & design management of hotel refurbishments, upon his return to Udaipur he carved a niche for himself in the Indian market as well. Lavabre fuses local aesthetics with a minimalistic contemporary stye.
