MADRAS MAKERS (since 2013) is a fine furniture and woodcraft studio rooted in the cultural legacy of Madras. Founded in 2013, the practice brings together designers and master craftsmen who work with responsibly sourced wood, time-honoured techniques, and precise proportions to create heirloom-grade furniture. At India Design ID 2026, MADRAS MAKERS (since 2013) will present its annual Moving Museum—an immersive, pre-crafted installation where wood unfolds into architecture, furniture, lighting, and tactile surfaces.
