Founded by Vaishnavi Walvekar, Vāhe Ensemble is a design practice rooted in reinterpreting indigenous crafts into sculptural and functional art. Working across papier-mâché, marble, brass, and fabric, the studio’s work has been showcased on international platforms including 1stDibs, The Artling, and Movimento.Club. At India Design ID 2026, Vāhe Ensemble will present a new collection that brings together Manjarpat from Maharashtra and papier-mâché traditions from Kashmir, merging textile and craft through a process of soft structure and material arrest.
