The Chairman of his family-founded Hero Group – India’s premier automative manufacturing company – Sunil Kant Munjal is also an entrepreneur, investor, and published author. With interests in insurance distribution, steel-making, real estate and corporate training, he runs an active Investment Office, which has supported a wide range of businesses, from women empowerment and e-commerce to hospitality ventures and educational ventures. Apart from this, Munjal also sits on the boards of various educational institutions: Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A), Indian School of Business (ISB), Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), and the University of Tokyo. He co-founded BML Munjal University, and has also been a part of the Indian government’s various taskforces, including the Labour Reforms Commission. In 2016, he set up the Serendipity Arts Foundation to revive patronage in the arts and make all art-forms accessible to people. He is also the President of the Ludhiana Sanskritik Samagam, which supports performing arts across North India.
