Vaikunth Villa by Ace Associates is a luxurious residence featuring two villas connected by a common entrance, verandah, water body, and exotic landscapes. Drawing from the architects’ vision of Vaikuntha, the celestial abode of Lord Vishnu (regarded as the principal deity of the universes in Hinduism), the modern tropical home is resplendent with beautiful lotus ponds, sculptures and an impeccable curation of art. The grandeur of the façade and gardens has been replicated in the interior spaces, where contemporary sensibilities meet traditional materials and motifs.

Located in an upscale residential area of Ahmedabad, the spatial composition of the 890-square-meter site ensures that every indoor space is well connected to the outdoor spaces and landscapes. The C-shaped form envelops the house on the south side, while deep-set garden verandahs on both floors protect the interior spaces from harsh sunlight. The villa is accessible by vehicle from the north, and pedestrian access is available from the south. This south-facing approach creates a quintessential vista, leading up to a central verandah flanked by an exotic water body, date palms, and inspiring sculptures. Statues of Lord Ganesha act as beautiful sentinels and set the tone for the modern tropical ambience.

Upon entry, one is greeted by a double-height formal living room with luxurious wooden ceilings and décor, complemented by an earthy, stucco-finished wall. The central atrium houses the family living and dining rooms, pooja room, and verandahs on the north and south sides. The ground floor also hosts a contemporary modular kitchen setup, a bedroom for the parents, and a highly contemporary guest bedroom. A lounge area on the first floor acts as a transitional space and connects the two bedrooms located on this level. The master bedroom has been conceptualised in a lavish Art Deco style with a striking yet cosy aesthetic. An opulent bathroom and walk-in closet complete the space. The son’s bedroom represents his youthful energy featuring a palette of raw brick, concrete, and other retro elements. An entertainment room is located on the highest level and can be accessed through an internal elevator.
