This luxury villa, designed by Studio 101 at DLF-Phase II in Gurugram, encompasses almost any opulent amenity that one can fathom on a 460-square-metre plot. The spatial arrangement of this villa begins with a driveway that can support up to eight cars, leading into a double-height foyer resplendent in sunlight that instantly establishes an opulent aesthetic. The house comprises five bedrooms, a formal living area, a separate formal dining area to entertain guests, and a family lounge. Two master bedrooms and a guest room are located on the first floor, separated by a quaint sitting area. The terrace floor contains the two remaining guest rooms, with a small open garden out front.
The basement is akin to a party den, with a lap pool flanking the entire expanse. It also hosts amenities such as a lounge, a spa, and a home theatre. Commenting on the project, the studio said, “The design intent was clear from the first day. We wanted to create spaces that would say, ‘Less is not more.’ Attention to detail was the path followed, and we incorporated that in everything, from the walls, ceilings, and even the flooring of every space. Every element present in a room belongs there and adds value. Using a variety of materials in furniture and finishes, combined with a pattern play in fabrics and wallpapers, we created complexity in feeling and presentation throughout the home.”
