Sudipto Ghosh is a practicing architect and managing partner at 50-year-old firm, S. Ghosh & Associates, in New Delhi, India. A graduate of CEPT, Ahmedabad and the University of Cincinnati, his career spans three continents including India, Switzerland, and the US, where he has been involved with a wide range of projects from museums, townships, airport terminals to individual residences. He teaches at School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi; Ghosh’s research and writing have focused on issues related to the nature of urbanity and on design practice as urban activism. As a manifestation of these interests, Ghosh co-designed New Delhi’s first Public Transport map and has been working alongside the Delhi Government on the legibility and mapping of public transit routes. In 2020, Ghosh co-founded Poché, an interdisciplinary platform for online conversations and learning centred on the Global South with particular interest in South Asia.
