With multiple feathers in her cap, Shama Pawar is the founder & MD of The Kishkinda Trust, the convenor of INTACH Anegundi (Hampi Chapter), and the founder & director of the Cultural Industries Centre. Her work in Hampi motivates her to direct projects that secure the future of the town’s community and environment. Through the organisations that she has founded and set up, Pawar has brought into effect a change in policy about how heritage sites are designed and managed, and the impact they have on the lives of local communities.
