Rohan Shivkumar is an architect, urban designer, filmmaker, and the dean of architecture at Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute for Architecture. Shivkumar’s professional repertoire spans architecture, urban research, film, and visual arts, with an interest in space, image, representation, and performativity. He has worked on the Project Cinema City on the relationship between Cinema and Mumbai, research on Dr Ambedkar and the city, and ‘The Forest in the City’ on communities living in the National Park in Mumbai. Shivkumar’s film portfolio includes curatorial projects and the films Nostalgia for the Future, Squeeze Lime in Your Eye and Lovely Villa. His work has been featured at the Chicago Architecture Biennale, the Sharjah Architecture Triennale, the Seoul Architecture Biennale, the World Social Forum, the Dhaka Art Fair and Documenta.
