Carrying forward the 60-year legacy of Taller de Arquitectura, Ricardo Bofill is an architect and narrative designer who explores architecture as a medium of memory, identity, and transformation. Based out of the iconic La Fábrica in Barcelona, Spain, the firm was established by his late father, and is most notably known for its postmodern approach of monumentality and colour that reimagined the possibilities of affordable housing. Having completed his education in architecture and real estate at Rice University, Harvard Graduate School of Design, and Columbia University, Bofill merges poetic clarity with strategic vision through cultural institutions, mixed-use developments, and infrastructure. At present, Bofill pilots large-scale masterplans and complex urban projects in India, Saudi Arabia, and Europe. Through his architecture, Bofill invites cities to rediscover the meaning of future time and present space.
