Kunaal Maniar is the founding partner and principal landscape architect of Kunal Maniar and Associates. Drawing inspiration from across disciplines of fine art, craft, product design, and fashion, he creates bespoke landscapes and outdoor spaces. With his background in horticulture and a degree in landscape architecture from the University of Melbourne, Australia, Maniar started his own practice in Mumbai in 2002. Guided by the idea of ‘studied negligence’, in which nature is handed back the power to assert itself freely, Maniar’s work reflects a deep commitment to tropical living ideals and environmental sustainability.
