Anne Geenen cofounded Site Practice, an architecture and design studio, with David Schmidt. Based in Mumbai and Amsterdam, their studios work on projects in the broadest sense of the discipline, from the chair to the city. Geenen considers the connection between manufacturing and ethics a primary point in the design process. Together, they aim to create designs that are materially and socially anchored in the community and have a deep awareness of materials and traditions. Their studio Site Practice develops their projects as an ecosystem where the programme, materialisation, use, construction, and climate are integrated into the design process. Subsequently, she also co-founded Built Editions, a furniture and design brand, with David Schmidt in 2023.
