Architect Ananya Singhal met Studio SAAR co-founder Jonny Buckland in 2003 while studying architecture at the University of Bath, England. Almost two decades later, the duo established Studio SAAR, where Singhal is the managing partner. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, he has worked on various projects in the United Kingdom and India, spanning industrial, commercial, landscape and private residential – an extensive portfolio that has included two IGBC platinum-rated green buildings. Prior to joining the studio, Singhal created the first list of heritage buildings in Udaipur for the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage, and has worked with Pritzker Prize-winning architect Dr BV Doshi and Rajeev Khatpalia. Singhal is also part of the leadership team at the multinational electronics manufacturer Secure Meters.
