Anand Asinkar’s career in design began after his varied academic stints in the field. He graduated with a B.Arch from Pillai’s College, Navi Mumbai, before pursuing a Master’s in Design from IDC, IIT Bombay, and an M.A. in Vehicle Design from the Royal College of Art, London. Currently, Asinkar has been affiliated with KOHLER’s design for almost five years, where he was part of the team that launched Sveda Lav at India Design ID 2022. During his tenure, the company received the Red Dot, iF, and Good Design 2024 awards. Prior to joining KOHLER, Asinkar worked across a wide range of design projects at Whirlpool and Mahindra, and also contributed to the architectural planning of multiplexes, auditoriums, and industrial spaces. Among other interests, Anand admires travelling to architectural landmarks and is a Formula 1 enthusiast.
