Alan Abraham is the joint principal architect of Abraham John ARCHITECTS, a multidisciplinary architecture, interior design, landscaping and urban planning studio founded in 1967 by the eponymous designer. The Mumbai-based practice is dedicated to reconnecting with nature. It approaches each of its projects, regardless of size and scale, understanding that architecture uniquely influences lifestyles and society. Abraham has simultaneously been working on urban design solutions to improve Mumbai’s public infrastructure and make it a more eco-friendly and livable city through proactive initiatives. He is also the co-founder of BOMBAY GREENWAY, a not-for-profit urban design and research platform exploring architecture from a wider perspective. Firmly believing in the power of collaborative artistic work, Abraham is also the founding member of the Bandra Collective and the Mumbai Architects Collective.
