EDIDA 2017 winner for Young Talent of the Year, Kunaal Khyaan Seolekar’s latest undertaking saw him design 40000 sqft of hospitality interiors—The O Residences, Pune. A quarter of this contemporary complex, that also features 80 serviced apartments and a health spa, is taken up by a multifarious contemporary restaurant space—Frangipani. Featuring the latest furniture from KOY, (Seolekar’s luxury Indian home and lifestyle brand) the all day dining and meeting space is resplendent with an abundance of natural light and saturated hues.

Here’s what the studio had to say about their stunning architectural design:

The most distinctive design feature of the space is the KOY Cosmos Community Table—a series of hand carved marble legs in assorted Indian marbles, balancing a 4 meter live edge wooden slab. Contrasting the table are the almost invisible Wire Curve Chairs, draped in handwoven cane and dyed to match the saturated hues of the space. A black granite outdoor bar that functions as a breakfast station in the morning houses premium liquor in a silver painted cabinet with stainless steel shelving. The silver shimmers amongst the mica filled granite columns that glitter with the setting sun. Natural textures and graphics in a single monotone palette vary throughout the project with timber grained marbles, textured riverstone, sparkly granites and graphite metals.
