Designed by Project 810, Artisan Lab is a recently opened 3200 sq ft, two-storey concept store in New Delhi. Featuring arched openings that seamlessly blend one retail space into the next, minimalist interiors and a charming café, the store invites its visitors to slow down and discover the curated decor collections on display.
Defined by a minimal and earthy colour palette of pinks, whites and greys, the space explores the use of simple geometry. A solid wood door and dusty pink staircase lead you to the retail space. To maximise the are, largely slide-fold windows with sleek steel frames, natural lacquer and fluted glass have been installed. Some shelves follow a similar design structure, others are matte white platforms that seamlessly blend into the walls. Accents of mango wood add an element of warmth and have been used as panelling on the furniture and walls. Arches adorned in a pale pink terrazzo-like paint finish, circular cut outs in space and clear round glass pavers accentuate the strong sense of geometry throughout Artisan Lab. Playful elements such as a large Sheesham wood swing and hand etched wall panels with muted foliage-like illustrations are the highlights of this concept store.
The second floor predominantly hosts the café. It is defined by a curation of visually interesting elements such as an indoor sun lit Juliet balcony that sits behind a large arch. A lengthy Sheesham wood community table complemented by a large indoor planter brings life to this floor.
