Iqrup and Ritika Dhamija’s contemporary furniture brand, Iqrup + Ritz has launched a new range of furnishings, detailing their themes for 2019. True to their established aesthetic of timeless design, understated luxury and expert craftsmanship, the collection is a modern interpretation of the Arts and Crafts movement. Indoor cane/bamboo furniture, created in collaboration with artisans from the North East, simple forms and natural materials are just a few of the enticing features that constitute the elegant pieces.
Through a series titled ‘Arts & Crafts,’ the brand hopes to provide continued support to the dwindling number of craftsmen in the North East. They have collaborated with them to create some handmade gems such as the Ceylon Cabinet and Mor Armchair.
‘Au Naturel’ is a continuation of the arts and crafts theme, highlighting the use of natural materials. Subtle polish finishes have been used to highlight the natural grains of the materials used. Standouts from this range include the Soma Shelf and Throne Stool.
The Sass collection gets its name from the Italian architect and designer Ettore Sottsass, the founder of the Memphis group. It features an updated black and white palette, interesting shapes and striking marble. The Sass Coffee Table and Mira Desk are some of the statement pieces.
Using rich velvets and contemporary takes on classic forms, the sofas and armchairs follow the ‘Lush’ theme, with statement pieces like Sinclair and Milo.
Iqrup + Ritz have also updated their lamp collection, with breathtaking accents that manifest themselves in statement pieces such as Theo and Bronzo.
