The Carpet Cellar

The Carpet Cellar was shaped by the late Mr. Sheel Chandra, who spent over forty years building one of the region’s most significant collections of antique carpets and textiles. His vision led to India’s first major carpet and textile museum. Now, that legacy continues through two distinct showcases: The Rumi’s Meadow pays homage to the golden age of Persian weaving, and Nomadic Legacy celebrates the bold geometry and raw beauty of tribal artisans.
