Princess Pea is the alter ego of an anonymous performance artist. The character symbolizes the values and rights of the ‘girl child’ in India and the issues surrounding women’s identity in modern-day society. At India Design ID 2002, The Pea Family studio will be showcasing a collection of sculpture toys, each significant and poignant, marking the first extension of the artist’s trademark character. Each piece is a work of art, conceptualized and made with great attention to detail by award-winning craftsmen.
