Founded by Richa Uppal, an alumina of University of the Arts London and National Institute of Fashion Technology, Takshni is known for their handcrafted sculptures and objects. The philosophy at Takshni, which means chisel in Sanskrit, celebrates rustic simplicity and understated elegance. Crafted by indigenous artisans using prehistoric natural alloys such as brass and bronze which can be recycled several times using a 3000-year-old technique, the contemporary masterpieces have firm roots in ancient India. Their product line includes wall installations, sculptures, sconces, partitions, artworks, and architectural door pulls and handles. At India Design 2022, they will be showcasing a myriad of products as well as their new collection titled The Shiva.
