Dhaaga Designs is a contemporary craft studio based in Ahmedabad where textile traditions are reinterpreted through material honesty, slow processes, and close collaboration with artisan communities across India. Founded by Mehal, with over three decades of textile experience, alongside co-founder and interior designer Aashni, the studio bridges heritage craftsmanship with contemporary spatial sensibilities. At India Design ID 2026, Dhaaga Designs will present textile artworks inspired by the rhythms of water and the memory of earth, where hand embroidery, natural dyes, and layered textures transform thread into tactile landscapes shaped by time, care, and devotion.
