Saif Faisal represents a line of avant-garde and contemporary Indian designers. Founder of SFDW, a multidisciplinary creative studio, Faisal is an architect from the RV School of Architecture with diverse experience in design, manufacturing, and technical know-how. His work draws inspiration from anthropology, processes, essentialism, and technology. Faisal indulges in guest lectures and conversations in several business and design schools, with his work published internationally in Monocle, Designboom, Dezeen, Design-milk, Domus Italy, Minimalissimo, Elle Decor, Elle India, Elle Netherlands, MondoArc, Architectural Digest, Leibal, and Curbed NY. Since its establishment in 2014, SFDW has won numerous awards and honours, including five-time ELLE DÉCOR EDIDA Awards, INTERNATIONAL CRAFTS AWARD 2022, 2019, PERSPECTIVE Global 40 Under 40, 2018, LEXUS DESIGN AWARD India 2018, DIA China – Top 100 2018, A-Design Award Bronze 2018, TRENDS EXCELLENCE Awards 2016 commendation for lighting, and I Design Award 2014.
