Jyotika Jhalani founded Janavi twenty-five years ago, driven by an innate inclination towards creative sensibility and design. After a ten-year career at the World Bank, Jhalani rekindled her aspirations to build her entrepreneurial organisation. Her initial focus was creating embroidered cashmere shawls for European luxury homes, for which she collaborated with leading global designers. A firm believer in the “slow luxury” principle, she pioneered handcrafted cashmere with the India Moderne design vocabulary, nurturing Indian craft. Jhalani continues to expand Janavi internationally, taking Indian craftsmanship to a global stage. Her work portfolio and creations reflect her passions – fashion, design, and business.
