Abin Chaudhur is the founder and principal architect of Abin Design Studio, a Kolkata-based firm. He is renowned for exploring the power of holistic inclusion in interior design and architecture. After specializing in Industrial Design at Milan’s Domus Academy in 2003, Chaudhuri passionately delved into innovative design practices. Establishing his eponymous studio in 2005, he has since elevated it to becoming one of India’s most well-known design firms. The studio aims for a design-centric ethos, and seeks to embrace spatial constructs, multidisciplinary art, and the expansion of sociocultural boundaries through functional architecture. With an impressive portfolio encompassing heritage and contemporary projects, the studio has garnered numerous national and international accolades such as Architizer A+Awards, ARCASIA Awards for Architecture AAA, WIN Awards 2016 and The Chicago Athenaeum award for international architecture among others.
