Carlo Ratti

Architect and professor, Carlo Ratti, studied engineering at the Politecnico di Torino and the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris before obtaining his MPhil and PhD in architecture from the University of Cambridge, UK. Currently, he teaches at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he directs the Senseable City Lab along with heading his design practice at Carlo Ratti Associati. He has also co-authored over 250 publications as well as contributed to various design and architecture publications. His work has been exhibited worldwide at venues such as the Venice Biennale, the Design Museum in Barcelona, the Science Museum in London, GAFTA in San Francisco and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
