Future Collective is a “conscious culture design fair” that is set to debut at the iconic Bikaner House on the 29th of February. Showcases by the finest brands across fashion, art, and design, such as Abraham and Thakore, Nicobar, Péro, Nimai, JOSMO Studio, and more, combined with art from waste, photography exhibitions, clothes exchange swap-shops, films, discussions, and music performances, are sure to make this an incredible experiential event.
Presented by the Dalmia Bharat Group and powered by TENCEL™️, the platform’s primary intention is to regenerate Indian design using its core strengths and traditional learning to create a quirky, cutting-edge sustainable design for changing consumer needs. From architecture, art, fashion, and furniture to solar energy, sari swaps, films, electric vehicles, waste management, and workshops, Future Collective’s plethora of activities will be spread across the entire 10,000 sq ft of indoor and outdoor space of the 1930s-designed structure that has been meticulously restored to its original form by Mumbai-based conservationist Abha Narain Lambah.
Another element of the show to look out for is Evelyn Mora, Founder of Helsinki Fashion Week, speaking on the pertinent subject of “How should we communicate about our brands to avoid greenwashing, and how do we create a real impact with our work?” Bringing together pioneers of sustainable design, the founding team of Vidyun Singh, Asha Kochhar, and Roma Narsinghani has leveraged over 30 years of experience in fashion and culture (and the ensuing network of brands and personalities) in a bid to shape Indian lifestyles in an informed, ethical, and responsible manner.
Future Collective will take place from 29th February to 1st March 2020.
