Taking place this year from 13 to 16 November in Dubai Design District, UAE, Downtown Design brings the most influential names in the industry – brands, architects, product designers – together for an annual celebration of the very best in design, for both trade professionals and design enthusiasts to engage with and be inspired by.

The fair’s sixth edition will present over 175 international brands alongside 25 global design leaders who will speak at the fair and six-large scale installations that will bring together the best of international and regional talent at Downtown Design.

Preciosa’s award-winning installation, Breath of Light makes its regional debut at the fair; the brand is offering two design professionals an exclusive trip to the Crystal Valley. Marc Ange will debut a new iteration of his acclaimed work. ‘Le Refuge at Downtown Design, while deGournay and Cosentino will unveil collaborations with regional design studios.

‘This year’s edition is the most ambitious to date with more than 65 new brands and large-scale installations debuting at the fair,’ reveals Fair Director Rue Kothari. ‘New features include bespoke cafés, a pop-up shop, indoor landscapes and waterfront activities. This new blueprint coupled with a fresh creative direction mark a new phase of growth for the fair.’

Arper, Artemide, Baxter, Cassina, Diesel Living, Jan Kath, Normann Copenhagen and St.Louis are some of the companies exhibiting for the first time, while returning brands include Lasvit, Moroso, Vondom and India’s leading studios such as Klove and Studio Cast Glass.

An a-list roster of international design stars such as Ini Archibong and Hollywood’s leading interior architect Martyn Lawrence Bullard feature on the fair’s stellar talks programme that will tackle burning topics in architecture and design, including innovation, collaboration and diversity.

Downtown Design’s Trade Programme is curated for design professionals from around the world to expand their visibility in one the most exciting markets for architecture and interior design, the Middle East. The programme offers a host of benefits including networking with industry decision makers, regional developers and investors, as well as workshops by global design experts to empower design professionals to stay ahead in our highly competitive landscape.
