Located in a contemporary township—Supercity Glory—this bungalow by Squelette Design references the architecture from its surrounding context. Pitched roof forms, tropical nuances, and colonial elements have been juxtaposed with metallic accents, brass detailing, and leather furnishings to create a modern ambience. Bespoke furniture and lighting, a soothing colour palette, and perfectly curated art result in a cosy, homely appeal. Vitrified tiles were a preexisting feature of the shell, while tropical textures, fabrics, and styling create an aura of understated leisure. The living room interacts with the dining space through bespoke tables, ceilings, and wall panels.

While the bedrooms follow the tropical aesthetic, they have been mindfully curated as per the residents’ personalities and requirements. The ground-floor bedroom is replete with shades of blue, creating a relaxing environment for the elderly. Timber ceilings and green accentuate the master bedroom, while abstract, geometric, and graphic prints form an eccentric addition. The teenager’s room has a train-shaped moulded bed, while the girl’s room has white wood furnishings and a closet with rope-hanging racks that add to the comfortable vibe. A minimalistic intervention creates a partition that helps integrate a puja room here.
